SUMMER 2026 COMMUNITY PROGRAM
Junior Docents
Helping Young Historians Learn, Share, and Preserve Local History
Registering Now!
There's still time to register for the Granger Historical Society's FREE Junior Docent Training!
β
We're excited to offer our first Junior Docent Program this summer and already have four children registered. We'd love to welcome a few more!
β
A docent is someone who helps visitors learn about local history, museum artifacts, and the stories that connect our community to the past. Junior Docents will learn about Granger's history while building confidence in public speaking, practicing communication skills, and experiencing the satisfaction of volunteering in their community. They may have opportunities to greet visitors and share what they've learned during future open houses and historical events.
β
To earn the title of Junior Docent, participants will complete 3 hours of training:
Required:
